Los Angeles experienced citywide celebrations after the Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Supporters worldwide united with Angelenos in celebration, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a team has secured back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Draws Enormous Crowds
Local events included a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Social media videos show thousands of Los Angeles residents packing city center avenues, many carrying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The squad was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the crowds, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy high.
