'It's like they never miss a pass': The Swans' Ethan Galbraith continues contest with Pep's side.

Ethan Galbraith breaks into a smile as he recalls the nail-biting final moments of his team's remarkable turnaround victory against Nottingham Forest in the League Cup. The encounter ended with Galbraith picking up a supporter's spectacles following the on-field celebration.

With the clock ticking into the 97th minute, Galbraith struck the post with a long-range shot from distance, and Cameron Burgess quickly converted the rebound before sprinting toward the East Stand to revel in the moment, with the crowd congregating around the players.

Remarkable Recovery

The result sealed an incredible comeback given the team had been behind 2-0 deep into the second half. During the euphoria, there was some collateral damage. He shared, "There was a supporter sort of calling out and myself and Keysy [Josh Key] were puzzled: 'What's he on about here?' Then we saw the glasses. It was a light-hearted moment putting them on. We are on the pitch as athletes but we're people, too, so to have a joke with the fans is always good."

Premier League Giants

That win booked a next round match at home against Pep Guardiola's side on Wednesday, opponents Galbraith came close against at the comparable phase of the FA Cup with the London side in February. He had an excellent perspective when Orient took the lead in stunning style, with Jamie Donley's volley from about long distance going in via the crossbar and the Stefan Ortega. It seems unfair that it was credited as an own goal.

"You would have expected they would've credited him for taking the effort on from that distance," stated Galbraith, who played in the middle before switching to right wing-back after Orient changed shape. That meant getting to grips with Jack Grealish, with whom he traded tops, and the player was among the City players who paid tribute to the way the underdogs played positively.

Guardiola's System

"Athletically they are very good but even the simple things and basic skills, they can just do it over and over again," the midfielder notes. "It appears that they complete every delivery and they are adept at control and neutralize a game. You can feel you're doing well and then suddenly they will just deliver a through ball past your midfield without you even spotting it. You have to be focused at all times of the game. It requires a resilient mindset and concentration just to remain competitive."

New Chapter

The club sought to acquire Galbraith in January and secured his signature to bring him in in the summer in a significant move. He established himself as a popular figure across multiple campaigns at Leyton Orient and has quickly achieved similar status in south Wales. At Orient he reunited with his former manager, who earlier gave Galbraith his first extended run in first-team action on loan at a League One side from United. Then came a temporary move at League Two Salford, before he departed his boyhood club.

Learning Curve

"I was probably a bit naive going into professional soccer. I think numerous professionals would say youth team games is entirely separate. Sometimes it seems possession is exchanged without serious challenge. There are limited physical contests. Once you start playing first-team football you have to adapt rapidly."

Country Call-ups

He has demonstrated that growth for his team and nation, performing well for Northern Ireland, who are fighting to qualify for the World Cup next summer via the qualifying rounds and for whom he has been selected in the past five games, including two matches games against Germany. The ex-coach, Galbraith's former international manager, gave him the highest praise, saying he was Northern Ireland's "midfield general" given how he manipulates the ball and his ability to spot a killer pass.

Humble Beginnings

This marks quite the ride for the player from the neighborhood in his hometown, just outside Belfast, who used to see his dad, the elder Galbraith, also a midfielder, play for Ballyclare Comrades.

Manchester United Experience

The player's single match for Manchester United came in the away trip in 2019, a Europa League trip to Astana, where they competed on an plastic turf and the venue ceiling was shut owing to conditions of -15C. "This represented a extended travel and it was freezing," he recalls, chuckling. "The days leading up, myself and quite a few of the young lads worked out jointly, so that aided our adjustment. Just to join the main group and get a couple of minutes at the end was amazing."

Departing Old Trafford

How hard was it to depart Manchester United, the club he signed from his boyhood team aged a teenager? "The decision proved relatively straightforward, because I got to the stage where I knew I wouldn't break through at first-team level. I'm hugely grateful for the experience gained but it reached a stage where I believed I required a fresh start, move to a lower level and play first-team games. Now I'm slowly climbing the ladder."

Welsh Adaptation

This occurs during the middle of the day at Swansea's Fairwood training base but Galbraith has somewhere to be at late afternoon: a road rules assessment, another step towards getting on the road. Before his recent move to his new neighborhood, the young professional was a constant rider in Swansea's dubbed fun bus, a small coach driven by team personnel, Pete and Howard, which ferries players to and from practice and games.

"My companions include a teammate, Ronald, the midfielder – a former passenger used to be in it but has got his license. It's nice to spend time with the guys but I'm aiming to be the subsequent individual to drive independently and behind the wheel. Franco is known for his humor; he's constantly causing mischief."

Public Engagement

During his time at Orient, Galbraith would travel alongside followers on the Tube after beginning his trip at the area he lived in. "I tried|I attempted|My aim
