In a unexpected crossover event that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Disclosed

According to the formal statement, "A strange confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of banned practices and fearsome transformations echo through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine sect.

The mission concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Metamorphoses

The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Prizes and Extra Material

Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana in addition to multiple objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Newest Free Story Update

This release also brings the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "A Puzzlement." The series earlier featured a 2020 collaborative story connecting Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga.
